Atelier SANAE creates interiors shaped by a sensitivity to material, light and place. Led by Tine De Beck, the studio brings together architecture, art, design and craftsmanship to create spaces that feel personal, balanced and quietly enduring.
Tine De Beck is a Belgian interior designer and founder of Atelier SANAE. Her approach is grounded in an appreciation for natural materials, proportion and atmosphere, and in the belief that an interior should evolve from its architecture and context rather than impose itself upon them.
Her career began in Antwerp with Axel Vervoordt, where she worked on residential projects across Belgium, New York, Miami and Qatar. This experience shaped her understanding of restraint, materiality and the relationship between art, architecture and everyday life — principles that continue to inform her work today.
She later worked in the Middle East, overseeing residential interior projects in Qatar and developing an understanding of complex, highly individual environments where cultural context, craftsmanship and contemporary living intersect.
After returning to Switzerland, Tine joined Rougemont Interiors in Gstaad, working within an international team on bespoke residential projects. The experience further developed her understanding of Alpine architecture, local materials and the importance of creating interiors that respond closely to both their setting and the people who inhabit them.
Today, Atelier SANAE draws on these different places and experiences without being defined by a single aesthetic. Each project begins with its own architecture, context and material language, with an emphasis on creating spaces that feel natural, layered and made to last.
